About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling REV2 is an advanced automatic polarity switching module designed for DC, DCC, and Hornby HM7000 model railway layouts. It automatically manages track polarity in reversing loops and complex track arrangements, helping to prevent short circuits while ensuring smooth and uninterrupted train operation.

Using infra-red train detection sensors, the REV2 detects approaching locomotives and automatically switches track polarity before a train reaches a conflicting section of track. This allows trains to pass seamlessly through reversing loops and other polarity-sensitive sections without manual intervention.

In addition to polarity correction, the REV2 can also operate solenoid point motors, making it ideal for fully automated reversing loop operation. The module can control both points and track polarity together, allowing trains to reverse direction and re-join the main line smoothly.

The REV2 supports a wide range of layout configurations, including single reversing loops, double loops, and central reversing sections, making it suitable for both simple and advanced layouts.

  • Designed for use with a regulated 12V DC power supply.
  • Can also operate from a 15V DC HM7000 track supply where applicable.

  • Typical module current consumption: 0.5A.
  • Incorrect power supply polarity will not damage the module.

Sensor Installation
