About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling REV1mini is a compact DCC autoreverser that automatically manages track polarity in reversing sections on DCC model railway layouts. It provides a reliable solution for reversing loops, turntables, wye layouts, and other track arrangements where rail polarity must be reversed automatically.

When a train enters an isolated reversing section and a polarity mismatch occurs, the REV1mini instantly detects the short circuit and automatically switches the track polarity. This rapid response prevents the DCC command station from shutting down, allowing trains to pass smoothly through the reversing section without interruption. The module detects short circuits in less than five microseconds and corrects the polarity within 10–20 milliseconds.

Designed exclusively for DCC layouts, the REV1mini connects directly to the output of a DCC command station and features a compact solid-state design with no moving parts or adjustments required. Built-in protection automatically detects persistent short circuits, temporarily disconnecting the output before automatically restoring power once the fault has been cleared.

Compatibility Information

Designed exclusively for DCC-powered layouts and must only be connected to the output of a DCC command station.

The REV1mini is compatible with Hornby™ HM7000 when the layout is powered by DCC. It is not compatible with HM7000 layouts powered directly from a 15V DC supply in Bluetooth mode. For 15V DC HM7000 layouts, use the REV7K-4A 15V DC Autoreverser. For layouts that may be operated from variable DC, DCC, or 15V DC, the REV2 Universal Autoreverser provides compatibility with all three power systems.


Typical Applications

The REV1mini is suitable for a range of DCC track arrangements where rail polarity must be reversed automatically, including:
