About the Product

The CDU4F Fast Charging Capacitor Discharge Unit delivers a powerful, short-duration current pulse to ensure positive and reliable point motor operation. By storing energy in internal capacitors and releasing it in a controlled burst, it provides strong switching performance without placing excessive load on your power supply.

After the initial surge, the CDU limits sustained current to protect point motors from burn-out caused by wiring faults or prolonged switch operation. It also prevents voltage drop across the rest of the layout while points are being operated.
