The BLOCKsignalling CDU2C-FC is a fast charging capacitor discharge unit designed for reliable and safe operation of points motors on medium to large model railway layouts.

It stores electrical energy and releases it as a short, high-current pulse when a switch is operated, ensuring strong and consistent point switching while protecting both motors and control switches.

With fast charging capability, the CDU2C-FC is ideal for layouts where multiple points may be operated in quick succession.

How it Works

The unit charges internal capacitors from the power supply and releases the stored energy as a powerful burst when a points switch is activated.

This provides:

• A sharp, positive movement of the points.
• No sustained current through the switch contacts.
• Automatic protection against overheating if a switch is held.

The fast charge design allows the unit to recharge in a fraction of a second, ready for repeated operation.
