About the Product

The ASPECT CONTROLLER ASP2A is an advanced infra-red signal controller designed to deliver realistic, automated signal operation on model railway layouts. Using invisible infra-red (IR) light reflected from the underside of rolling stock, the controller accurately detects passing trains and automatically manages signal aspects without the need for track isolation or manual switching.

Once a train is detected, the controller runs built-in programs to simulate authentic 2-, 3-, or 4-aspect signalling sequences. The signal will return to green only after the train has fully cleared the detector, passing through yellow and double-yellow stages where appropriate. With smooth fading between aspects and configurable timings, the ASP2A provides highly realistic operation suited to a wide range of layouts and scales.

Designed specifically for common-anode LED signals, the ASP2A is ideal for most European and US-manufactured signals, offering reliable detection, flexible programming, and prototypical behavior straight out of the box.
