About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling PPI4 is a Points Position Indicator designed to monitor the switching voltage applied to points motors and display their last operated position using coloured LEDs. It provides a clear and reliable visual indication of route settings on control panels and mimic boards without interfering with normal operation.

When a set of points is operated, the module detects the brief voltage applied to the motor coil and updates the corresponding LED output. The selected route remains displayed until the points are switched again, with all states automatically stored in memory.

The PPI4 supports monitoring of up to eight sets of points and includes built-in diagnostic LEDs to assist with setup and troubleshooting. LED brightness can be adjusted directly on the module to suit different layouts and lighting conditions.

Key Features

  • Monitors the brief switching voltage across points motors to detect operation.
  • Displays the last operated position using LEDs on a control panel or mimic.
  • Supports up to 8 sets of points using 16 input channels.
  • Adjustable LED brightness for different environments.
  • Automatically saves all states to memory when power is removed.
  • Built-in diagnostic LEDs for input and output status.
  • Opto-isolated inputs accept voltages from +5V to +25V.

Electrical Specifications

  • 12V DC regulated power supply required.
  • Typical current consumption: approximately 50mA.
  • Recommended supply rating: 0.25A to 1A.
