About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling REV7K-4A is a high-power 15V DC autoreverser designed for larger model railway layouts using systems such as Hornby™ HM7000 in DC mode. It automatically detects and corrects track polarity mismatches, allowing trains to pass seamlessly through reversing sections without causing short circuits or interrupting operation.

The module enables the use of reversing loops, turntables, wye layouts, and figure-of-eight track plans by automatically switching the polarity of an isolated section of track whenever a train crosses into it. The polarity change takes place in a fraction of a second, preventing the layout from shutting down and allowing uninterrupted running.

Designed using solid-state electronics with no moving parts, the REV7K-4A provides fast, reliable operation without relay wear. It requires no adjustments or programming, making installation quick and straightforward.

Electrical Requirements

• Designed for use with regulated 15V DC power supplies.
• Recommended power supply rating: 1A to 8A.
• Suitable for layouts powered by Hornby™ HM7000 in 15V DC mode.
• Not suitable for variable DC controllers or DCC-powered track; for these applications, use the BLOCKsignalling REV2 or REV1 respectively.
  

Compatibility Information

Designed for use with layouts powered by a constant 15V DC supply, including Hornby™ HM7000 when operated in Bluetooth DC mode.

The REV7K-4A is not suitable for use when the track is powered by DCC. For DCC layouts, see the REV1 DCC Autoreverser. For layouts that may be operated from variable DC, DCC, or 15V DC, the REV2 Universal Autoreverser provides compatibility with all three power systems.

Typical Applications

The REV7K-4A is suitable for a range of track arrangements where rail polarity must be reversed automatically, including:
