SAS2-BR DC Shuttle with Station Stop & Acceleration

About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling SAS2-BR is a self contained DC shuttle controller with built in throttle, designed to operate a single locomotive automatically along a defined section of track. It runs a train back and forth with realistic acceleration and deceleration, and also supports optional station stops for more varied and lifelike operation.

When the locomotive reaches the end of the line, the module detects it entering an isolated section of track, slows it to a standstill, waits for a set period, then accelerates it away in the opposite direction. The same process repeats at the other end, allowing fully automatic shuttle operation without the need for a separate controller.

One or more intermediate station stops can also be added. As the train enters a station section, it slows smoothly to a stop, waits for the programmed time, then departs again in the same direction. This makes the SAS2-BR ideal for branch lines, end to end shuttle services, and other layouts where realistic train movement is desired.

The module includes adjustable train speed and waiting time settings as standard, with additional programmable options available for acceleration, deceleration, and fixed or random delays.

Electrical Requirements

• 12V DC power supply required.
  
• Recommended supply rating: at least 0.5A for Z and N gauge, and 1A for OO and HO.
  
• Maximum traction current: 0.5A.
  
• Can be powered using either the screw terminals or a 2.1mm centre positive DC jack plug.
