SAS2-IR DC Shuttle with Infra-Red Detectors

About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling SAS2-IR is designed to automate a single DC model train running backwards and forwards along a single length of track. It provides fully automatic end-to-end operation without the need for manual control.

At each end of the track, an infra-red sensor is mounted beneath the rails to detect the approaching train. When the train reaches the end of the line, the module switches off the track power to bring the train to a stop. After a set or random waiting period, the track power is restored in the opposite direction and the train automatically departs in reverse. This process is repeated at each end of the line.

• Waiting time at either end of the line can be adjusted or set to random operation.
  
• Supports optional route indication LEDs to show when a train is waiting at either end or travelling along the line.
  
• Allows optional two-aspect signals to be connected, switching to green three seconds before departure and back to red two seconds later.

Electrical Requirements

• Requires a 12V DC power supply.
