About the Product

BLOCKsignalling capacitor discharge units store up electricity in a capacitor. The electrical charge is released, on throwing a switch, as a burst of a much larger current than the transformer can supply directly. The CDU will also protect point motors from being burnt out by a fault in the switching circuit.

This CDU has one capacitor fitted and is suitable for smaller sized layouts.

· Provides a high current pulse to operate points

· Prevent points motor burn-out by limiting subsequent current

· Prevents voltage fluctuations on the rest of the layout

· Fast charging for quicker recovery time

· Indication leds built-in to show the status
