About the Product

The BLOCKsignalling SEC4B-DCC Section Controller provides the same DCC block protection and realistic stopping behavior as the SEC4A-DCC, preventing multiple trains from entering the same protected section. It uses infra-red train detection and automatically operates entrance signals and a short isolated approach section to stop approaching trains at a red signal.

When a train is detected entering the block, the module sets the signal to danger (red) and switches the isolated approach section from DCC to DC so DCC-equipped locomotives decelerate smoothly to a halt. Once the train has cleared the exit sensor, the module restores DCC and returns the signals to the correct aspect. It also supports inter-block communication for correct 3- and 4-aspect signalling and includes advanced modes such as station stop and bidirectional running.

This version is for common-anode LED signals.
